lord nrisimhadeva

kandiya nrsimha-pade magibo kakhana

nirapade navadvipe jugala-bhajana

bhaya bhaya paya yan'ra darsane se hari

prasanna hoibo kabe more daya kari
Lord Nrisimhadeva is hiding in the clay as he comes out his Beautiful and fearsome form becomes hypnotising.

Working all day long then coming home to spend time with my family I am in a deep meditation on Lord Nrisimhadeva form, I see his face at work his presence takes shape in my mind. All the while I can feel the desires in my heart leave and a peaceful calm takes over. Leaving only one desire to sculpt the lords forms forever!!!

Weeping, I will beg at the lotus-feet of Lord Narasimha for the benediction of worshipping Radha and Krsna in Navadvipa, perfectly safe and free from all difficulties. When will this Lord Hari, Whose terrible form strikes fear into fear itself, ever become pleased and show me His mercy?
Even though Lord Narasimha is terrifying toward the sinful souls, He offers great auspiciousness unto the devotees of Lord Krsna headed by Prahlada Maharaja. When will He be pleased to speak words of compassion unto me, a worthless fool, and thereby make me fearless?
He will say, "Dear child! Sit sown freely and live happily here in Sri Gauranga-dhama. May you nicely worship the Divine Couple, and may you develop loving attachment for Their Holy Names. By the mercy of My devotees, all obstacles are cast far away. With a purified heart, just perform the worship of Radha and Krsna, for such worship overflows with sweet nectar."aying this, will that Lord delightedly place His own divine lotus-feet upon my head? I will experience sublime love for the Divine Couple Radha-Krsna and undergo the ecstatic transformations called sattvika. Falling on the ground, I will roll about at the door of Sri Narasimha's temple.

All glories to Lord Narasimhadeva who destroys all the obstacles on the path of devotion!

All glories to Lord Narasimhadeva who grants those who worship Him pure love for the Divine Couple!

Self evaluation a [cold black heart]

For the past year since around march, I have been sitting in a silent observation of my own character and its evolution since becoming a devotee all the while also observing the interaction between karmis/devotee/other person searching for God.

Before I came to Krishna consciousness I followed a buddhist path, trying to follow one of peace and compassion using martial arts to control my mind and senses, and deep qigong mediation
that would bring my heart and soul peace!

Then I found the Bhagavad-gita and Srila Prabhupada, it filled all those missing parts I so long to fill. like who was god, What the hell am i doing here. The vedas answered all these deep question. And it left me profound!!!

I now sit after 5 years of trying to become a Devotee in the deepest of contemplation observing my very nature my mind and senses and the struggle within that I have been fighting since forever! And I do not like what I see, It is as through my heart has grown darker, my mind numb it seems I have gone backwards. I have been talking to god since I was a child [not that he answer back loudly] asking him what life was about, asking him what I needed to do! It has lead me here with all the knowledge I was seeking. Now I have the knowledge but My heart has gone black and empty echoing sarcasm from high school years and a hatred of all those who are not looking deeply enough!
I see and feel the "inability" to be honest, truthful and open. To share and really care for all living entities and the strength to trust and surrender my whole self. In-fact I feel high school again those days of bullies and having to prove your self, of superficial roles, idle gossip and a judgmental tone. And it is all coming from within me!!!!

I have taken a wrong turn somewhere, and I feel what little connection I had with God is now flickering even as I chant my sixteen rounds..... I use to really believe in loving one another and that finding God meant caring for all others, Spiritually and materially. I know Srila Prabhupada mission is real, but something has gone very very wrong, "for Me" I am done! It is time to change...

Why don't we have Varnasrama dharma in ISCKON where are the Ksatriyas???

This system really needs to be in Place for ISCKON and roles really need to be clarified. Right now Vaisyas and sudras still running things and you can tell the position of people buy what they are interested in and how they run and directed a community.

In Varnasrama society all members are equally important. An analogy comparing the social body to the human body is given to explain this. The brahmanas are the head of the body as they possess the intelligence and give directions to the other parts of the body.

The ksatriyas are likened to the arms of the body as their business as administrators and the military is to protect the social body from threats from outside (attacks from enemies) and disruption from within. (Thieves and rogues).

The social body should work as a coordinated unit with different members of the society acting in their respective positions as brahmanas, ksatriyas, vaisyas and sudras according to their qualities. The result will be a happy, peaceful and efficient society.

Although all members of the social body are important, as the brahmanas are the intelligent class directing society by giving guidance and advice to the king or government (ksatriyas), it is vital that they be properly qualified.

I think now what is missing are ksatriyas people who follow the Brahmanas and have a no nonsense policy! Srila Prabhupada said this movement is to make first class people and that there is now As there are many Guru in ISKCON who are 1st class but now finding the Ksatriyas is key for growth and a no nonsense system!

Moving Brisbane ISKCON out of the 70's and into the 21'st century

Hare Krishna
Please accept my humble obeisance's all glories to Srila Prabhupada

We are now in the process of renovating Govinda's restaurant in Brisbane city, the theme the most awesome place to hang out for people to interact with Devotees. The inspiration Srila Prabhupada vision and that vision:
Everything first-class. No third-class thing for Krsna. All first-class. The gopis must be first class, the dress must be first-class, the eating foodstuff must be first-class, the sitting place must be first-class, more than first-class. That is called: sri vigraharadhana nitya nana srngara tan mandira marjanadau. Cleansing the temple as clean as glass, always. Everyone remarks this that our temples are very clean. Yes. Temple means must be very clean. The more you cleanse the temple, the more your heart becomes cleansed. This is the process. Prabhupada's Lectures Srimad-Bhagavatam 1973”.

Now in Brisbane Bhakti Yoga is dying [If not dead already], just the shadows remain- the villains- Pride, ego, greed and self preservation. who's to blame all of us!!!

The souls long for love, Beauty, truth, honor, peacefulness the soul longs for all that is Krishna. But when new interested souls come into a run down restaurant, Temple they are scared off. So when the souls who are interested turn tail and run what are we left with, A money making business with cheap labour, We seem not to be interested in attracting customers for Krishna Bhakti, but we only attract customers of money. Since I have come to Bhakti I have seen all aspects of Devotion and all levels and even though money flows through for the past twenty years the Brisbane community of Bhakti Yoga is dying the buildings are falling apart, devotees are becoming dishearten morose and complacent. Everyone sees it and no says anything out of Vaishnav etiquette, politeness and respect. I only say these things out of sadness, I see and I feel sad that the best that the most enlighten humans in this universe has to offer are run down buildings. We have been given the highest knowledge but we have the most lowest facilities. And as expected this Renovation has both approval and disapproval, acceptance and anger with many obstacles.

Srila Prabhupada said we do not need these Facilities to chant Hare Krishna, we can chant Hare Krishna under a tree, These Facilities are to bring the lost Souls back to Krishna
So now finally after many many many years as stated by some very senior Devotees and approved by many the renovation that will change the publics view on this most precious path.

sarva-vaisnavera pa'ye kari namaskara
ithe aparadha kichu nahuka amara

"If I have committed any offense when dealing with so many subtle and exalted things about the great personalities, please, Nityananda Prabhu, absolve me of that offense and restore me to my normal position."
Your most Humble and sad servant

Codes of war were very important to a Kshatriyan

and his lineage. They are still talked about for their innate decency and respect of the enemy and women. There exist old palm-leaf inscriptions on these topics. They are known to many a Kshatriyan families which still believe in the old ways of virtuous Kshatriya living. A trained Kshatriyan -it is said- is never trained till he knows and follows the codes of war.
The Kshatriyan codes of war are stuff of legends and folklore in India. Mahabharatha a Hindu epic also talks about war codes. Conclusive archaeological evidence has not yet been obtained but more or less all sources agree that such codes of war existed and they were followed. Some of the more important codes are listed below.
War should not affect the unarmed - meaning that the civilian population should not be attacked for any reason nor should the disarmed and seriously wounded soldiers or warriors unless it is for killing them as an act of mercy.
Rest should be provided for both sides - meaning that the war should not continue after sunset unless or otherwise it is a guerrilla war.
All foes should be defeated - meaning that even if your kinsman fought against you, you should not hesitate to defeat him.
Raids should not be undertaken unless completely necessary - meaning that a raid should not be undertaken unless the motive is to compensate for past losses or to humiliate the enemy.
Women should not be looked at unless she challenges you - meaning that unless a woman is in your enemy's army as a soldier or warrior you should not attack her. If the woman is the ruler then she can be attacked or asked to surrender only after the whole army is defeated.
A guerrilla war should not be waged unless the objective is victory - meaning that the warriors chosen for a guerrilla war should be the best, able to defeat any large army in the given situation and such an attack should be done only to attain a political goal and not to raid the enemy's supplies.
A traitor should never escape death - meaning that a traitor or defector of ones own army should be guaranteed death.
Kshatriya Dharma
Kshatriya Dharma is the rules to be followed by a Kshatriyan to do justice to his caste and status. It still exists in the more logical and evolved forms.
It used to be unthinkable for a Kshatriya to marry outside his class. It would be breaking the biggest tradition of his family and would cause disgrace to his whole family and community; this has still not changed for most families even today. There is a very strong emphasis on following the customs and traditions of the class which have evolved over centuries. In addition to these, further traditions specific to particular prominent Kshatriya families have been handed down through the generations. Following these traditions is a matter of such great honour and importance that breaking them has resulted in families splitting up or being excluded permanently from the caste (jāti) even in present times. The joint family system is still widely practised among the Kshatriya families and the family elders have the final say on all important decisions. It was believed that the Kshatriyas were assigned to be protectors of Dharma (duty/justice) and their people. They were sanctioned by God to serve humanity. The noble king is regarded as a Dharma Raja (Just Ruler). People ruled by aryas (honourable men) are led by the Divine light.
Kshtariya Dharma is specifically described in the Mahabharata: "Have you never heard the Kshatriya Dharma: Stand straight and never bow down, for this alone is manliness. Rather break at the knots than bend!"

These are codes long lost into days wars where women, children and the elderly are constantly put in harms way. Uncouth leaders and people of today think that our time is less barbaric and more civil then the older time but as stated by Srila Prabhupada when a society does not protect women, children, elderly and animals [these being more defenseless then most] it is not a human society but an animal one.
